The ideal learning participant is a priest, deacon, pastor, or lay leader with over three years of experience in ministry and leadership, committed to continuous growth, practicing skills, and maintaining confidentiality in group sessions. They are expected to meet monthly with a peer-learning group and mentor-coach, dedicating 4-6 hours per month to this commitment.
Mentor-
Coach
The ideal mentor-coach is a seasoned church leader with over ten years of experience who excels in building collaborative relationships, values mutual learning, and is committed to guiding the next generation with humility and authenticity. They are expected to dedicate 6-10 hours per month to meet with their peer-learning group and one-on-one mentees, focusing on growth, effective feedback, and deep reflection.
Diocesan & Network
Partners
The ideal partnering diocese or church-wide network collaborates with Thriving in Ministry to actively promote program participation, identify strong candidates for mentor-coach training, and encourage church leaders to enroll as participants. They strategize on clergy growth, nominate quality candidates, provide financial support to reduce training costs, and endorse the program throughout their network.
